Orono Youth Hockey

Once again, Orono youth hockey is investing in our goalies.   We will be offering subsidies to allow our youth goalies to get private lessons at Robb Stauber's Goal Crease.   Below is the sign up form, where each goalie can sign up for up to 4 subsidized lessons at $39 starting on 8/15.

Orono hockey currently has two options to help goalie families offset the higher costs for goalie equipment.    Here are the two current options.

1)      15% off Registration Fee’s:   A registration fee rebate will be given to goalies that use their own equipment, and DO NOT get equipment from the association.   This is intended to help offset the costs of equipment families pay for on their own.  The rebate is typically reimbursed to families in the January time frame.
  OR
2)      Loaner Equipment:   Orono Hockey has a variety of goalie gear that is available for player use throughout the season.   We have many sizes of leg pads, catchers, blockers, chest protectors and other gear.   Please contact the goalie coordinator for a fitting appointment, and they will check to see what is available for use.   In some circumstances(U10/Squirts and below), we may not have the right size available, so some equipment can be purchased if we need.   This will be on a case-by-case basis, and will be handled by the goalie coordinator.   Note that purchased or loaned equipment will remain property of Orono Hockey and must be returned immediately after the end of the regular season.
 

All goalies and future goalies should attend the goalie skills this weekend.   This is considered mandatory, like a normal practice would be if you don't have a game later that day.  Team goalie coaches have been asked to attend as well.

Note we are encouraging any future goalies to try it out as well at the early session.  Gear will be provided so let Lee Goehring know if you are new and plan to attend.  (lee.goehring@trgco.com)
