It is hard to believe it is September!  OYHA wishes all of our players a great start to the 2021-22 school year.  Along with the start of school, begins an exciting and busy time for OYHA and its families. Below you will find information and updates on everything from registration, to social events/fundraisers, tryouts and more.  Please follow your players level hockey calendar for the most up to date information on upcoming clinics, evaluations, season start dates and tournament information. You can find the calendar for your level on the OYHA webpage and add it to your personal calendar by following the links within the Preseason Clinics and Evaluations section.


2021/22 Registration is open:

  • August 20th - September 17th

  • Player Registration

  • Coaches/Manager Registration

  • Orono-Westonka Warriors

  • Early Bird registration discount of $50 if registered by September 12th

  • New for this season:  Goalie Registration Discounts

  • Game Jerseys – If you are advancing a level (such as from Peewees to Bantams) you will need to purchase a new jersey during registration.  Please be prepared to select a size and your top three number choices during the process. 


Preseason Clinics and Evaluations:
Prior to the official start of the season, preseason clinics will be held to help prepare your skaters for the upcoming evaluation process.  Please plan to attend your assigned evaluation time.  If there are conflicts, please contact your level rep.  The dates of the preseason clinics and scheduled evaluation times can be found on your levels team page on the OYHA Site or by following the links below.

Please have your skaters arrive for clinics at their designated times.

Fall Face Off Golf Tournament:

September 20, 2021

Sponsors and Raffle Items Needed

The Fall Face Off is OHA's largest fundraising event . Funds raised go towards both Orono Hockey and the Warriors. If you are interested in a sponsorship opportunity, or donating items towards our raffle, please contact Sarah Meier, for additional details.

Coaches Corner:

Save the Date
 for the Coaches Kick Off Meeting-September 15, 2021, 7:00pm-9:00pm at Wayzata Country Club

OYHA is currently looking for qualified coaching applicants for all levels for the boys and girls programs. We are searching for parent/non-parent coaches with passion and dedication for the game and developing young kids on and off the ice.


COVID-19 Plans and Protocols:
TBD, stay tuned for developing or changing protocols.


We are pleased to announce that Hockey Yak will again be supplying the team apparel package.  Watch for ordering information soon after team formations.

Want to get Involved?
OYHA is a volunteer based organization that relies on the engagement and participation of our families for our success.  We currently have several opportunities for chairs and co-chairs for the following events:
•    Fall Face Off
•    Pancake Breakfast
•    State of the State of Hockey
•    Hockey Gear Swap

Social Media:
